Our expert mechanics will take care of your engine
Is your car starting to fail you? Perhaps your ‘check engine’ light has been on for a while, or you’ve begun to notice a series of increasingly severe things going wrong. If you can relate to these symptoms then act now with our engine replacement service.
Cars don’t get better on their own!
Car engine replacement sounds like a big job doesn’t it?
We won’t lie, engine replacement costs can be higher than most people would like them to be but, if your car is in need of it, our engine replacement service could still be more economical than simply giving up on your vehicle and buying a new one.
That’s not the case every time but it is worth pricing up engine replacement costs vs the cost of getting rid and replacing.
However, first things first….
Why might I need an engine replacement service?
The main things that can go wrong and lead to the need for our engine replacement service are:
- A blown head gasket
- A split piston
- A cracked head
Each of these things, as a stand alone problem, can very often be repaired, so if you suspect that any of these things has gone wrong with your car then don’t automatically assume that you need a new engine.
Bring your car to us for an assessment. If we can repair your engine we will. If we can’t, we’ll give you our engine replacement cost and you can then make a decision about what to do, equipped with the information.
How do I know when I need a car engine replacement?
Many people won’t know what a blown head gasket or a split piston looks and sounds like.
So we’re going to give you a few warning signs that you can certainly spot, even with no technical expertise, that our engine repair service or engine replacement service may be required.
If you can hear a loud banging coming from your engine – one that sounds as though there may be someone trapped inside it – don’t worry, there (probably) isn’t but that noise, predictably, isn’t a great sign. Get your car checked asap.
If there is excessive smoke coming out of your exhaust and particularly if that smoke is thick and black, pay us a visit as quickly as you can because your engine probably needs to be repaired at the very least.
Using too much oil or fuel
It’s always a good idea to keep an eye on how much fuel and oil your car uses under normal circumstances, so that you notice when there is a change. If you feel as though you’re needing to fill up much more regularly or you seem to be burning through too much fuel these things could be warning signs of engine trouble.
These aren’t the only signs of engine trouble, so if you suspect that there is something wrong with your car you should always have it checked out.
We have 15 years of experience offering a reliable service with a great price, so if it doesn’t turn out that you do require a car engine replacement you are in good hands.
